Erez Ella
Erez Ella was born in Jerusalem in 1971 and studied Architecture at the Tel Aviv University and the TU Delft in the Netherlands. Erez founded HQ architects in Tel Aviv in 2008 after spending several years as an Associate at OMA (1999 and 2005) and as Principal at REX ( 2006 to 2008). There, he led the TVCC project in Beijing, directed the design of the second scheme of the Whitney Museum in New York and oversaw, together with his former partner, the design of the Wyly Theatre in Dallas. From Tel Aviv, Erez leads HQ Architects’ design work of more than 20 different projectsin Israel and around the globe, various in scale and program. HQ Architects exhibit an expanding portfolio of work among various sectors, including public spaces and infrastructure, a wide range of cultural and educational projects as well as offices, hotels and retail projects. Recently, the practice’s ability to rethink and challenge conventions led it to be part of US-Israeli team for NASA challenge “Habitat on Mars” - a challenge to establish a 3D printed habitat for future astronauts on Mars. Erez’s involvement extends far beyond the world of architectural design. He co-curated the Israeli Pavilion at the 2012 Venice Biennial of Architecture, and is the co-editor in chief of the architectural book titled “Aircraft Carrier - American Ideas and Israeli Architectures after 1973” (Hajte Cantz, 2012). In 2011, Erez established and currently leads the ‘Mechanism of Design and Urbanism’ research unit at the Bezalel School of Architecture. Erez lectures extensively in Israel and abroad. Erez Ella was named “The Most Promising Architects Under the Age of 40” by the Wallpaper Magazine, and in “The Most Promising Professionals Under the Age of 40” in Israel by The Marker Magazine. He is also a member of the ‘Jerusalem Season of Culture’ board of directors.
Matan Sapir
Matan Sapir is a partner at HQ Architects. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the Faculty of Architecture and Town Planning at the Technion (2002) and an MA from the School of Architecture at the Polytechnic University - Madrid (2007). In 2009 Matan joined HQ Architects, and has since served as the head of the studio, currently managing a team of about 30 architects. Prior to joining HQ Architects, Matan worked at Lot Architects (2002-2006) and at De Lapuerta + Asensio Madrid (2007-2009) where he was responsible for a variety of projects including a public housing project of 245 housing units in Seville and a Toledo theatre in Madrid. Additional to his work at HQ Architects, Matan serves as a studio professor at the Department of Architecture in Bezalel Academy.
Ariel Ilan
Ariel Ilan studied business and accounting. He holds an MBA with major in Finance, a BA in Business and Administration, and is a licensed CPA (Israel). Ariel joined HQ Architects in 2012 after spending 15 years in various financial management positions. He started his career in KPMG, a leading accounting firm (1997-2000). From there, he continued to IDB Holding Company, Israel's largest publicly traded holding company at that time, as part of the accounting team (2000-2005). Also, Ariel served as controller at the Tel Aviv Medical center ("Ichilov") Research and Development fund, where he gained experience running complex financial system in the public health sector (2005-2008). In 2008 Ariel joined Vulcan Automotive Industries – one of the largest Israel car battery factories, as the company's CFO. At Vulcan, he gained experience in financial management of an industrial company and of LEAN management (2008-2011). Since joining HQ Ariel has been helping the organization to grow steadily. His main focus is leading the organization to sustainable financial and business success, while helping the firm to achieve professional excellence. Ariel specializes in building financial infrastructures and mechanisms in different business sectors and has experience in risk management and growth strategy. Throughout his career he has developed a keen interest in entrepreneurship and in creative thinking organizations. During the period at HQ he has been able to adapt the financial structure to the firm's volatility in order to maintain steady growth.
Smadar Efrati
Smadar holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem (2010) and participated in an exchange program at the École Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Paris-Belleville in 2008. Smadar joined HQ Architects in 2010, and became an associate in 2015. She has contributed to a wide range of projects, from residential developments such as the Lea Goldberg Project in Lod to public buildings like the Lod Cultural Center and Sela Auditorium, as well as office towers, including the Sharona Tower in Kfar Saba. Currently, she leads the transportation team for the M1 Metro project, managing the design development of 21 metro stations from preliminary to detailed design. Smadar is fluent in both Hebrew and English.
Oded Fux
Oded joined HQ Architects in 2015 as a Team Leader and Project Manager and has served as an Associate since 2018. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem (2011). At HQ Architects, Oded has overseen a diverse portfolio of projects, demonstrating expertise in managing complex architectural projects. Oded has been responsible for the overall management, conceptualization, planning, and coordination of the new Petah Tikva Transportation Center, a 70,000 sq.m. underground transportation hub that integrates office and retail spaces. He has also led the concept, planning, and coordination of transportation hubs designed for the future Israel metro system, as well as sports arenas and cultural venues, emphasizing his ability to navigate multidisciplinary and large-scale projects. Before joining HQ Architects, Oded worked as a Project Manager at Peled-Kimmelman Architects and City Planners (2007–2015). During his tenure, he contributed to numerous significant projects, including various developments for the Barzilai Medical Center in Ashkelon. Notably, he managed the 5,000 sq.m. Rehabilitation Center, overseeing the project from its conceptual stages through to its successful completion.
Shachar Beer
Shachar holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Pratt Institute in New York, USA (2014) and a M.Sc. in Architecture from Technion, Israel (2022). Shachar joined HQ Architects in 2015, and became an associate in 2023. She has worked on numerous public, residential and commercial projects of various scales, including the prize-winning Kfar Yona Residential Complex, the House for Singing and Choir Performance Hall and the Sharona Tower in Kfar Saba. Currently, she leads a team working on large sports, cultural and transportation projects, including the Ashdod Sports Arena, Moshe Dayan Transportation Hub and the HaArgazim Complex in Tel Aviv. Prior to joining HQ Architects, Shachar worked for several US offices including Perkins Eastman Architects in New York. Shachar is fluent in Hebrew and English.

Keshet Rosenblum
Keshet holds a Bachelor in Architecture from the Bezalel Academy for Arts and Design, Jerusalem (2012), and a Master's degree in Digital Architecture and Design at the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology. Keshet joined HQ Architects in 2015 as an Architect and since then, she has worked in several key projects in the office, including the Petah Tikva Transportation Hub, Fein 1 Central Apartment Complex, Jaffa Gateway Masterplan, Harugei Malchut Apartments, the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, the Sharona tower in Kfar Saba, among many others. Currently, as HQ Architects’ Creative Director, Keshet is currently leading the design teams during the mapping, concept, and initial planning phases, and she is responsible for refining the overall vision and conceptual narrative throughout different phases of several projects ranging from master-plans to buildings of various scales. She is also leading research in the area of technology and innovation, and reviewing cultural trends that are related to the architecture and urban planning field. Keshet is fluent in Hebrew and has excellent command of English.
Ayelet Kamar-Erez
Ayelet holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem (2005). Since joining HQ Architects in 2011, she became an associate in 2016 and has contributed to a wide range of projects varying in scale and typology. These include the Lod Community Center, the House for Singing and Choir Performance Hall, the North Hotel, the new Inter-Arts Center for the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, the Sheba Medical Center, the Student Housing Tower in Sderot, and several residential projects across Israel. Before joining HQ Architects, Ayelet practiced architecture in both the Netherlands and Israel. Her international experience in Amsterdam includes working with Next Architects, Wiel Arets Architects, Abbink & De Haas, and in Tel Aviv with LOT Architecture. Ayelet is fluent in Hebrew and English.
Osnat Tadmor
Osnat holds a Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) from Princeton University (2011), a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) (Honours) from the Azrieli School of Architecture, Tel Aviv University (2007) and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Science & Philosophy from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (2002). Osnat Joined HQ in 2020 as a Team Leader & Project Manager. She is currently in charge of a mixed use complex in Bat Yam, which incorporates a 40 storeys residential high rise, a commercial building and a shopping area, adjacent to the Bat Yam shopping mall. Prior to joining HQ Architects, Osnat worked at Gutman Assif Architects and Skorka Architects as a senior architect designing and executing projects, ranging from small scale design projects to very large architectural projects. She teaches both at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design and at Shenkar College of Engineering, Design and Art. Her book, Dreams about home – High rises and the continuing housing crisis in Israel, co-edited with Yehoshua Gutman and Elad Horn (Resling Publishing, 2017) won the third prize of the annual competition of AI magazine. She organizes the annual event "Envelopes Now" at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design and other academic events. Osnat is fluent in Hebrew and English.
Udi Shoshan
Udi holds a degree in Architecture and Interior Design from the Shenkar College of Engineering and Design in Israel. Udi joined HQ Architects in 2018 and has worked across various scales and project in the office, including the House for Singing and Choir Performance Hall - a performance and education center for classical choir singing, NASA’s Mars Habitat Challenge - a project launched to find technologies that would use materials indigenous to Mars and 3D printers to fabricate houses in Mars. Udi is currently working on the construction phase of the 45,000 sq.m new campus at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem, as HQ Architects joined Kazuyo Sejima + Ryue Nishizawa / S A N A A to realise the project in Israel. Prior to joining HQ Architects, Udi Worked as a designer and project manager in environmental and graphic design studios. There, he took major part in large-scale wayfinding & signage projects, in various sectors including Healthcare, Commercial & Cultural centers. Udi is fluent in Hebrew, has excellent command on English and basic knowledge of Italian.
Ivi Vassilopoulou
Ivi was born and raised in Greece. She holds a Bachelor (RIBA I) and Diploma in Architecture (RIBA II) from the University of East London (2009). Ivi completed a Masters (MA) in Architecture, Interpretation and Theories from the University of East London (Merit, 2010). Ivi joined HQ Architects in 2018 as the International Communications and New Business Manager, and has been overseeing all matters of Media & Press, Public Relations and New Business for the office on a global level. Prior to joining HQ Architects, Ivi held the position of Events Coordinator and Internal Communications Officer at Heatherwick Studio, London (2016 -1018), where she looked after all public speaking opportunities, fundraising and networking events for Thomas Heatherwick and the Studio on an international level. Also, she was managing all internal communications and events for the Studio. Prior to this, Ivi was an Account Manager at ING Media, London – a leading PR Agency within the property, architecture, design, regeneration and cultural sectors. There, she gained experience in international PR and Media Campaigns, social media strategies, organizing public speaking opportunities, events and exhibitions for clients worldwide (2014-2016). Ivi also has contributed in editorial, and was Features Editor and Editorial Board member at Design Exchange Magazine London (2012- 2016). Ivi speaks fluently English and Greek, has basic command in German and elementary knowledge in Hebrew.
Danielle Litai
Danielle holds a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Studies from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (2019), and also holds a Bachelor in Geography and Geoinformatics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (2015). In 2020 Danielle joined HQ Architects and is currently leading the urban studio in the office, that includes numerous urban renewal projects such as Netivot’s old city regeneration, the re-imagining the future of the 610,000 m² Sheba Medical Complex, the Jaffa Gateway regeneration of a neglected industrial area in Tel Aviv through urban analytics, and several masterplans in Lod, among others. Prior to joining HQ, Danielle worked at a private company that specializes in urban renewal projects as a planner and a project manager. Danielle is fluent in Hebrew and English.
Marina Parhomovsky
Marina Parahomovsky holds a BA in Landscape Architecture from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology (2011). Marina joined the landscape planning department at HQ Architects in 2017, and has since been leading the various landscape projects including the Givatayim City Hall and the House for Singing and Choir Performance Hall, among others. Prior to joining HQ Architects, Marina worked in various landscape architecture practices in Israel, including Moria-Sekely and Studio Urbanof, and has extensive experience in managing landscape projects from the planning to the implementation level. Marina is fluent in Hebrew, Russian and English.
Danielle Ella
Danielle holds an Engineering degree from the Shankar Engineering School and a Bachelor in Architecture form the Azrieli Architecture School TAU, followed by an exchange year at the Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. In 2018 Danielle joined HQ Architects and has been involved in various projects ranging in scale and program, including the upcoming urban design project of Hess-Goldberg in Lod and the Wine Hotel in Eilat. Prior to joining HQ, Danielle worked in Cannaf Architects and LRM Studio, among other practices in Israel.
Haya Haj Yehia
Haya holds a bachelor in Architecture from Tel-Aviv University TAU (2019). Her final thesis, dealing with urban planning in Mediterranean cities and developing a prototype neighborhood, won the Yashar Prize for outstanding final project in 2019 and the Hans Davidson prize for sustainable and green urban design project. Haya joined HQ Architects in 2021 and is working on several urban planning and TABA projects in the office. Prior to joining HQ Architects, she worked at Derman Verbakel in Tel-aviv, where she specialized in urban design. Haya is fluent in Hebrew, Arabic and English.
Sharon Goren
Sharon Goren has a Bachelor of Architecture from the Tel Aviv University (2000). Sharon has worked at HQ Architects since it was founded in 2008 and has been the office administrative manager since then. Sharon is fluent in Hebrew and English.
Michal Gabriella Rapoport
Michal holds a Bachelor in Photography from the Bezalel Academy of Arts & Design (2010), and in Interior Design (2021). Michal joined as HQ Architects as an Office Manager in 2022. Prior to joining the studio, she held the position of Friends Group & Resource Development Manager at the Design Museum Holon until 2022. She has extensive experience in the wider design sector, where she has held several management and consultant positions including interior designer at the 9Design Center (2021). She has also worked as a design and fashion journalist for several years from 2014 to 2021 and has contributed to several media outlets including the AT magazine and Nisha magazine, among others. Michal is fluent in Hebrew and English.
Yaniv Alonso
Yaniv holds a Bachelor degree from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem (2022). He joined HQ Architects in 2022 as an Architect and has been working in several of the firm's projects. Prior to joining the studio, he worked at GBG Architects, where he gained extensive experience working on a variety of projects of ranging in scale and program. Yaniv is fluent in both Spanish & Hebrew (mother tongue level), and has an excellent knowledge of English.
Dor Gershovitz
Dor holds a Bachelor in Architecture from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem (2021) with a certificate of excellence (2020). He Joined HQ Architects in 2021, and since then he has been involved in several projects, including the new indoor Tennis Center in Jerusalem and the establishment of design principles for several new inter-modal Transportation Hubs in the Tel Aviv Metropolitan area. Dor is also a member of a young architecture cooperative which has won a few competitions, including a competition of concept designing of a new child healthcare clinic prototype in Israel and a competition for outdoor placemaking near the Bat Yam Museum. During his studies he worked as an Art Director in several films, which participated in many international festivals, and included the development of design concept, building and designing film sets and team management. Dor is fluent in Hebrew (native) and has excellent knowledge of English.
Dotan Inbar
Dotan holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem. He joined HQ Architects in 2023 As a BIM manager and has been overseeing a wide range of projects in the office. He is responsible for Implementing, developing and guiding the office to work in a BIM environment, in a wide selection of projects which vary in scale and program. As a BIM manager he leads and supports the use of digital technology to create BIMs in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction) sector. He also implements all the procedures in BIM and Digital Construction during the design, construction, and handover of a project. Dotan is fluent in Hebrew and English.
Yara Aboud
Yara holds a Bachelor in Architecture from the WIZO Haifa Academy Of Design and Education (2022). Yara joined HQ Architects in 2023 and since then has been working on several urban planning and renewal schemes in the office, including the 812,525 sq. meters Netivot Masterplan. Prior to joining HQ Architects, Yara worked at Dror Rimok Architects, where she specialized in in the field of urban renewal within TAMA 38, planning residential buildings etc. Yara speaks fluenty Arabic, Hebrew and English.
Balsam Abu Saleh
Balsam holds a Bachelor of Architecture and Town Planning (2020) and an M.Arch. degree specialized in Urban Design (2023), both from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology Haifa, Israel. Balsam joined HQ Architects in 2023 2 and has been involved in various master-planning projects in the studio, including urban renewal schemes in A'rara town center and Kiryat Shmona. Currently, she is a Research Assistant at The Technion Research & Development Foundation, Architecture and Town Planning faculty, where she is working on creating a generative digital platform to preserve spatial narratives of the city of Haifa. Balsam is fluent in Arabic, Hebrew and English.
Alon Rubovitch
Alon holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design (2020). Also, he is a Graduate of the Bezalel & Intel Technology Excellency Program and of the Bezalel & HUJI Digital Fabrication Course (Algoritmic Aided Design). Alon joined HQ Architects in 2021 as an Architect and has been involved in several projects of different scales and programs, including the design worked on a conceptual design for a neighborhood in northern Israel and a concept design for a mixed-used tower in Bat Yam. Prior to joining HQ Architects, Alon worked as an Architect at YASKY Architects in Tel Aviv, and as an in-house designer offering architectural consulting for WEIL-BARON real estate company. Alon is passionate about combining architecture and teaching and is involved in several teaching positions, specializing in local bio-climatic architecture.
Gleb Kaplinsky
Gleb was born and raised in Moscow and joined HQ Architects in 2023 as an Architect. He holds a Bachelor Architecture Degree from the Moscow Civil Engineering University (2021), and a Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Moscow’s Vysokovsky Graduate School of Urbanism – HSE University (2023). Since he joined HQ, Gleb has been involved in several projects in the office, including an office building in Modiin and a new Arena in Herzliya. Prior to joining HQ Architects, Gleb worked as an architect and urban planner in Moscow at Tesler Architects, where he gained great experience in a wide range of projects and different typologies and stages. Gleb is passionate about urban planning in relation to the spatial perception and ethnicity materialization in architecture. Urban planning aside, he is also very interested in film photography. Gleb speaks fluently Russian, has a very good command in English and elementary knowledge in Hebrew and German.
Yarden Vaknin
Yarden holds a Bachelor of Interior, Environment and Building Design from the Shenkar Engineering, Design & Art College. She also spent a semester as an exchange student at the UMPRUM Academy of Arts in Prague, Czech Republic. Yarden joined HQ Architects in February 2023, and since then she has been part of the landscape architecture team having worked on several projects, including the Bat Yam urban regeneration schemes, as well as projects in Rehovot, Acre and Jerusalem, among others. Prior to joining HQ Architects, she worked at Studio Urbanof in Tel Aviv. Yarden’s student work has received several awards, including the ‘Rozen Sustainability Award at the Shenkar’ (Israel) and the ‘Design IT award from the Seoul Design Foundation’ (Korea) Yarden speaks fluently Hebrew (native) and English.
Chemi Gera
Chemi holds a BA in Geography and Humanities studies from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (2010). In addition, he completed a Master in Urban Design from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem, including a semester in Paris SciencesPo University, focusing on large Metropolis governance. Chemi joined the urban studio at HQ Architects in 2022, and is involved in several urban renewal and masterplan projects throughout Israel. Prior to joining HQ Architects, Chemi worked for several years at Moria Architects landscape practice. There, his work included the creation of the Lod city strategic masterplan for open spaces, and several vast urban renewal plans.
Chemi is fluent in Hebrew and English.
Hanna Hajda
Hanna was born and raised in Poland. She holds a Bachelor Degree in Architecture and Urban Planning from the Silesian University of Technology, Poland (2016), she was a Master’s Degree exchange student at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design (2018-2019) and completed her Master’s Degree in Architecture at the Universität Liechtenstein (2020). Hanna joined HQ Architects in March 2023 as an Architect and has since then been working on the development of conceptual design, including several international competitions, a co-living concept in the Negev desert, a high rise concept in Ramat Gan and a housing project in Tel Aviv. Prior to joining HQ Architects in Israel, Hanna worked in several architecture offices internationally, including CHYBIK+KRISTOF Architects and Urban Planners, on Brno, Czech Republic, Leupold Brown Goldbach Architekten in Munich, Germany and Senan Architects in Tel Aviv, among others. Hanna has an interest in fashion, graphic design and modern art. Hanna speaks fluently Polish, has very good command of English and basic knowledge of German and Hebrew.
Nawras Haj
Nawras holds a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture and Town Planning from the Technion–Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa (2018). During her studies, she tutored youth architecture classes at the Technion. She joined HQ Architects in 2022, contributing to a wide array of projects across multiple sectors, including housing and transportation. Her work encompasses diverse scales and types, such as the Lea Goldberg Masterplan in Lod, the VakkoRama flagship store in Istanbul, and most recently, the Metro M1 Line in the Tel Aviv Metropolitan area. Prior to HQA, Nawras gained experience in other practices, including an` internship in Bucharest, Romania. She also worked with Y.Y. Granot Architects in Haifa, where she specialized in residential and public buildings. Additionally, Nawras has freelanced in the private sector, focusing on residential projects. Nawras is fluent in Arabic (native), Hebrew, and English.
Daniel Varon
Daniel holds a Bachelor’s Degree (2017) and a Master’s Degree (2019) in Architecture from the Accademia di Architettura in Mendrisio, Switzerland, and a Master’s Degree (2022) in Urban and Regional Planning from the Technion University in Haifa, Israel. He joined HQ Architects in 2021 and has been working in the urban, housing, and transportation sectors, contributing to numerous projects of various scales, including the Kfar Saba Center Master Plan, Sheba Medical Complex, Or Sderot, and the Metro M1 Line. Prior to joining HQ, he worked as an architect at Derman Verbakel Architecture in Tel Aviv, specializing in regional planning projects. Daniel is fluent in Hebrew, English, Italian, and French.
Jeremie Mellul
Jeremie was born and raised in Paris, France and relocated in Tel Aviv in 2008.He holds a Bachelor in Architecture in Bezalel Academy of Architecture & Design in Jerusalem (2022), where his final project was the recipient of the Mezleer Prize from the Bezalel Academy. Jeremie joined HQ Architects in 2022 as an Architect and has been working on several projects, including a retail and commercial project in Istanbul. Most recently, he won the InHabitats Competition at the Venice Architecture Film Festival 2022 with his film entry ‘Habitable Infrastructure: Science Fiction or the Future of the Countryside?’ Jeremie speaks fluently French, Hebrew and English.
Ayal Pomerantz
Ayal was born in Israel and raised both in the USA and Israel. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design from the H.I.T. Holon Institute of Technology (2019). Ayal joined HQ Architects in 2021 as Creativity and Visual Coordinator, and he is part of the communications team, where he looks after all matters of visual communications including photography, illustration, graphic design and architectural visualization for the office. He is also working closely with design teams, overseeing graphics and visual identity concepts for projects. Ayal is a highly experienced professional with a diverse portfolio. Before joining HQ, he worked at various positions as an industrial and graphic designer, both in Israel and USA (San Francisco and New York). In 2020, he established his own individual practice running various successful projects. In the last 2 years he has exhibited various projects, gaining recognition both in Israel and abroad. Ayal is fluent in English and Hebrew.
Itay Eilam
Itay holds a Bachelor of architecture from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design (2020). He also completed a semester as an exchange student at UDK in Berlin, Germany (2019). Itay joined HQ Architects as an Architect and specialist in urban planning in 2022, and has been involved in various projects in the office including a Master-plan for the heart of Ramat-Hasharon and the plan for renewal of the Acre Central Station area, among others. Prior to joining HQ Architects, he worked at Tsionov-Vitkon Architects, and Adom Architects. There, he took part in the planning of various educational and residential projects. Itay is fluent in Hebrew and English.
Adi Ariam
Adi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from the H.I.T. Holon Institute of Technology (2020). She also completed a semester as an exchange student at ESDI in Barcelona, Spain (2019). Adi joined HQ Architects in 2022 and has been involved in various projects in the studio, including the Lod Cultural Center. Prior to joining the office, she worked at Studio MU, where she gained extensive experience in working on projects of various scales and programs in the fields of hospitality, restaurants, retail, and private homes.
Daniel Mazor
Daniel holds a Bachelor of Science (2016) and a Master’s Degree (2020) in Architecture & Urban Planning, both from the University of Stuttgart, Germany. Daniel joined HQ Architects as an Architect and specialist in urban planning in 2022, and has been involved in various projects in the office including a the Gordon neighborhood renewal in Herzliya and the design of an Industrial Hub in an old quarry in Jerusalem. Currently, he is working on the Urban renewal of the Arlozorov metro station area and the Orlov-Shor urban block renewal, both in Petah Tikva and a renewal plan in Rishon LeZion. Prior to joining HQ Architects, Daniel worked at Grimm Architekten in Stuttgart, at the Behnisch Architekten, Boston, USA where he worked at the design and construction of the 50,000 sq. meters Harvard University Science and Engineering Complex, and at Zarhy Architects and Studio PEZ in Tel Aviv. Also, he is a Teaching assistant of Algorithmic Design at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design. Daniel is fluent in Hebrew, English and German, and has elementary knowledge of Spanish.
Nitzan Biton
Nitzan holds a Bachelor of architecture from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design (2022), where she was nominated for the award of excellence in the final project (2022). During her studies she attended a summer studio at the WESADA University in Tokyo, Japan (2019). Prior to her academic studies at Bezalel, she studied design and art at Shankar College, where she received a diploma in fashion design and styling. Nitzan joined HQ Architects in 2021 as a student and became an Architect in 2022. Since then, she has been working in several projects in the studio, including several Multi-modal Transportation Stations in the greater Tel Aviv metropolitan area. Prior to joining HQ Architects, she did students placements in GAB Architecture in Jerusalem and at the Jerusalem Municipality Department of Improvement. Nitzan is fluent in Hebrew and has good command of English.
Dor Bellaiche
Dor holds a Bachelor of architecture from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design (2022). He joined HQ Architects in 2021 as a student and since 2022 he has been promoted to Architect and a computational designer, where he has been working on several projects including the development of a parametric Urban analysis system, and the study, development and implementation of new and exciting design tools and workflows to create innovative architecture and urban planning. Prior to joining HQ Architects, Dor held a student position at Rahamimoff Architects and Urban Planners in Jerusalem. Also, Dor is currently a Teaching Assistant at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design’s Architecture Department teaching digital design tools in several courses. Dor received a nomination for the "Meisler" award for an outstanding final project from the Eli and Joachim Meisler Foundation, Bezalel Academy of Art and Design (2022). Dor is fluent in Hebrew and English.
Josh Horovitz
Josh holds a Bachelor from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem (2020). He also completed a semester as an exchange student at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, Austria (2019) and attended a summer studio in the Waseda University in Tokyo, Japan (2018). Josh joined HQ Architects in 2021 as an Architect and is involved in several projects of different scales and programs, including the design of an inter-modal Transportation Hub outside Tel Aviv. Prior to joining HQ Architects, Josh worked in various practices internationally, including an internship at Coop Himmelb(l)au in Vienna, and at Rechter Architects in Tel Aviv and Shlomo Aronson Architects in Jerusalem. Josh appreciates a hands-on approach, and he is proficient with power tools and welding, and was a certified wood and laser workshop instructor at the Bezalel Academy during his student years. In his spare time, he enjoys gardening. Josh is fluent in both English and Hebrew (mother tongue level).
Bar Fisher
Bar holds a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem (2023) and from the Universidad Politecnica de Madrid (2022). In 2022, he was also a Global Research Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IaaC) He joined HQ Architects in 2024, where he has since been involved in the concept and design development of various projects, including a complex educational campus in Israel and several hospitality projects. Bar is fluent in Hebrew and English, proficient in Italian, and has a basic understanding of Spanish.
Sara Siegel
Sara holds a B.A in Middle East Studies and Fine Arts from the Ben Gurion University in Be'er Sheva (2013) and an M.A in Urban & Regional planning from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem (2016). She joined HQ Architects in 2023, as the HQ Urban Studio’s Planning Manager and Director and has been involved in numerous projects in the office. Most notably, Sara has been responsible for the renewal of the central station complex in Akko, the Urban renewal at the northern town of Arara, and other urban renewals schemes in Rehovot and Petah Tikva, among others. As a Planning Manager of the studio, she also handles the communication between the Urban Planning teams and Architects in the office, and therefore she is involved in architecture projects of the studio beyond urban planning as well. Sara is a well-experienced planners and has vast experience from her work in various offices in Israel, including Ari Cohen Architects in Jerusalem. Sara’s experience in the field goes beyond practice, as she was a Lecturer of Urbanism at the Eindhoven University of Technology (Netherlands, 2000-22). Sara is fluent in Hebrew (native) and English, and has good command of Dutch.
Eitan Egdes
Eitan was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa and currently resides in Tel Aviv. He holds a BSc in Landscape Architecture from the University of Pretoria, South Africa (2016)
and a Masters Degree in Urban Design from the Bezalel Academy of Art & Design in Jerusalem (2023). Since joining HQA, Eitan has worked on several projects in the studio, including the landscape development of a multi-purpose sports complex including a new 5,000 seat Arena in Ashdod as well as the Bavli transformation in north Tel Aviv – a project that showcases a unique urban, ecological and scenic sequence aiming to connect key locations such as the HaYarkon Park with Savidor Station. Eitan spends his spare time working out, creating, and gardening. He is fluent in English and Hebrew.
Aleksandra Kushnareva
Aleksandra was born in Moscow and holds a Master’s Degree from the Moscow State Architectural Institute (2016). She joined HQ Architects in 2024 as an Architect and has been involved in several projects in the office, including two Transportation hubs (Savidor and Ben Zvi) and the new Tennis Arena in Jerusalem, among others. Prior to joining HQA, she was a lead architect at A. Lerman Architects, where she worked on various projects, including large public and cultural buildings, managing them from concept to construction. Beyond her professional work, she has a strong passion for children's books illustration. Alexandra speaks fluent Russian and English, has a very good command in Hebrew and basic knowledge in French.
Asher Abrahams
Asher is a skilled 3D artist with a specialization in architectural visualization. He graduated from the Israel Animation College in Tel Aviv in 2017. In 2024, Asher joined HQ Architects, collaborating closely with the design teams to create top-quality images and visualizations for our projects. Before joining HQA, Asher gained valuable experience working with various architecture firms and private clients, further strengthening his expertise in the industry.
Kim Guttmann
Kim, born and raised in Switzerland, moved to Israel in 2021. She holds a BA in Interior Design and Scenography from the Basel Academy of Art and Design (2019) and a Master’s in Urban Design from the Bezalel Academy (2023). Joining HQ Architects in 2023 as an urban designer, she has worked on several masterplan projects, including the Shlomo Hamelech Masterplan in Lod and urban plans for Kfar Saba, Beer Sheva, and Ramat Gan. Before joining HQA, Kim worked at Bellprat Partner in Zurich, contributing to projects like the Switzerland Pavilion at Expo Dubai 2020. She also curated the 2023 UEF international conference in Jerusalem and currently works part-time at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design. Kim is fluent in French, German, English and intermediate in Hebrew
Omer Bar-dan
Omer Bar-dan completed his Architecture studies with honors at Tel Aviv University in 2023. He joined HQ Architects as a student in 2023 and has since contributed to various housing projects of different scales. Having spent a year living in Rome, Omer is fluent in Hebrew, English, and Italian.
Olga Reznik
Olga was born and raised in Moscow and joined HQ Architects in 2018 as a Junior Architect. Olga holds an Advertising and graphic design degree (Hons) from the ORT Moscow Technology College and a Diploma in Design of Architectural Environment from the Faculty of Design of the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics. At HQ she is currently working on the Sharona Office Tower– a 26 floor office building located in Kfar-Saba. Prior to joining HQ Architects, gained a diverse and unique experience working as a designer at the “Den-Aks” copper workshop, and at the “Svechenie” ambient agency, where she worked on the design development of art-installations, light-installations, architectural decorations, playgrounds and way-finding. Olga is fluent in Russian and English, and has basic command of German and Hebrew.
Omer Ittah
Omer holds a Bachelor's degree and a Master’s degree in Architecture from the Faculty of Architecture & Urban Planning at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa (2024). He joined HQ Architects’ Housing division in 2024 and has been involved in planning a wide range of residential buildings of various scales in Israel. Before joining HQ, he completed several internships in Israel and abroad, including an internship at the Fuksas Architect Research Laboratory on Future Living in Italy. Omer is fluent in both Hebrew (native) and English.
Noy Solomon
Noy holds a Bachelor's degree in Interior, Building, and Environmental Design from Shenkar College of Engineering, Design, and Art 2022 and a Diploma in Practical Engineering in the Architecture and Interior Design track, graduating with distinction from Shenkar Handesaim 2024. During her studies, Noy presented her work, Present Sounds from the Daily Past, which captured the sounds of daily work and represented Shenkar at Jerusalem Design Week 2022. After graduation, Noy joined HQ Architects’ Housing division in 2024 and has since been involved in planning a wide range of residential buildings of various scales in Israel. Noy is fluent in both Hebrew and English.
Shireen Saad
Shireen holds a Bachelor of Architecture and Town Planning (2020) and a Master of Architecture specializing in Urban Design (2023), both from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology Haifa, Israel. Shireen joined HQ Architects in 2024, and has been working with the Urban Studio team contributing to numerous projects of varying scales across Israel. Shireen is fluent in Arabic, English and Hebrew.
Amir Wertheimer
Amir holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Maryland (2020) and a Master’s Degree in Architecture from the Parsons School of Design in New York (2022). He is a certified LEED Green Associate, and his graduate thesis was showcased at a student design symposium in New York City. Amir joined HQ Architects in 2024 and has been working on the architecture team, contributing to numerous projects of various scales, including the Tel Aviv Metro Line. Prior to joining HQ, he worked as an architect at Adamson Associates in New York, where he collaborated with David Chipperfield Architects (London) on Rolex's flagship building on 5th Avenue in Manhattan. Amir is fluent in English and Hebrew and has a basic knowledge of French.
Nawar Dakkak
Nawar holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem (2024). In 2023, she completed a semester as an exchange student at the Academy of Fine Arts, Bratislava, where she also participated in the 2023 Neuroworm and Escape Machines exhibition at Kunsthalle X VŠVU in Bratislava. Nawar joined HQ Architects in July 2023 as a student and was later promoted to an architect role. She has been part of the Urban team and has contributed to various master planning projects, including the regeneration of Akko Central Station and urban renewal schemes for neighborhoods in Bat Yam, Metro South, and Halamit. Currently, she is working on several urban regeneration schemes in Holon and Ramle, and others. Nawar is fluent in Arabic, English, and Hebrew.
Gil Sharabi
Gil holds a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem, Israel (2024). During his studies, he won an award in the DARIAH Innovation Challenge (2022). Gil joined HQ Architects in 2023 and has been working in the urban planning studio, where he has been involved in numerous projects of various scales, including the Bat-Yam Master Plan, the Carlebach Complex in Tel-Aviv, and another complex in Ashkelon, among others. Before joining HQ, he worked as an intern at Rubinshtein Ofer Architects in Jerusalem, specializing in planning medical institutions. Gil speaks fluent Hebrew and has a good command of English.
