On December 1st 2021, Erez Ella participated at the IPLAN Studio seminar, which dealt with the issue of living in the city in a variety of aspects and challenges, and connected the presentation of studio research in the first part of the day, to macro aspects and examples from the field in the second part. During the day, 11 speakers presented different points of view and analysis on a variety of topics, such as: special housing, living in the metro area, combining living in employment areas and living in ultra-Orthodox and Arab society. The third part of the seminar included a panel of urban engineers who covered issues related to planning challenges at the urban and everyday level, resulting from the city's very active and changing space.
IPLAN Studio is a working group for improving the quality of planning in Israel, established 2019 at the Planning Administration. The studio examines processes for improving the quality of planning from a strategic point of view: promoting horizontal research, formulating tools, writing briefings and guidelines, promoting competitions and formulating proposals and ideas for promoting standards and legislation.
