Sofija was born and raised in Latvia and joined HQ Architects in 2022 as an Architect. She holds a B. Sc and M. Sc in Architecture (2016) and a Master of Science in Architecture with focus on Urban planning, both from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Germany.
Sofija has been involved in various projects of the HQ Urban studio, and currently she is working on the 812,525 m² Netivot Materplan, an urban scheme that features a great variety of different typologies and urban fabrics that also consists of different levels of planning.
Prior to joining the office, she held worked in several architectures practices in Germany, including SETUP Landschaftsarchitektur.
Sofija is fluent in English, German, Latvian and Russian and has basic command of Hebrew.
