The overall renewal plan of the city of Bat Yam will serve as a realizable strategic tool for urban renewal that will encourage development, densification and enrichment of the municipality of Bat Yam. The plan will outline guidelines and mechanisms for the development of several centers along the main axes, while maintaining the existing textures, and strengthening the connections and functional interfaces of Bat Yam with its neighboring cities in the metropolis.
The proposed renewal moves take into account the existing urban skeleton, the local character, the qualities and the relative advantages of the city and its location in the metropolis. This, while providing a planning solution for the needs of the city and the upgrading of the public space and infrastructure, the municipal uses and services.
The goals of the program:
1. Regulating the various regeneration routes that exist in the city under one strategic urban renewal plan.
2. Examination and determination of the municipal carrying capacity for the target year in terms of the number of units designated for renewal, the required public and infrastructure development.
3. Establishing guidelines for the design of public spaces, development and densification the urban streets and boulevards, and development of the many urban centers, existing and new.
